I’m a Foster Parent

Your Resource Family Consultant

Every foster family is assigned a Resource Family Consultant (RFC), who works within the Utah Division of Child and Family Resources (DCFS). The focus of your RFC is to help find the right foster home for each child — which is called a “placement” — and then support that placement by supporting you.

RFCs are organized at the regional level. If you’re not sure which region you’re in, find where you live on the map and click-thru to your region’s home page. From there, you can visit all of your region’s resources.

For your convenience, we’ve included direct links to each region’s RFC pages below:

Utah is divided into five regions. These regions are Northern, Salt Lake, Western, Eastern, and Southwest. Resources for foster families are managed at the regional level.
