I’m a Foster Parent

In-service Training for Foster Parents

In order to remain licensed, foster parents need 12 hours of on-going education each year. We call this “in-service training” and it’s available from a variety of sources: Utah Foster Care (UFC) training staff, local Clusters, and even from a handful of approved outside providers.

Within UFC, in-service training is organized at the regional level. Find where you live on the map and click-thru to your region’s home page.

For your convenience, here’s a list of regional in-service training pages:

Contact your Resource Family Consultant (RFC) to seek approval for training hours outside of those we offer.

Utah is divided into five regions. These regions are Northern, Salt Lake, Western, Eastern, and Southwest. Resources for foster families are managed at the regional level.
