I’m a Foster Parent

Clusters: Families Supporting Families

From St George to Brigham City to Moab and the Uintah Basin, there’s a foster family support group in your neighborhood!

These support groups are called Clusters. Each Cluster brings together 15–50 foster, adoptive, kinship, and specific care families who meet monthly. At these meetings, families make new friends, share care giving experiences, and attend training required for re-licensing. A foster parent facilitator organizes topics, locations, and other details.

“Association with other foster parents makes fostering much easier. Rarely do you find a person who understands why you foster — unless it’s another foster parent.” — Foster Parent

Utah Foster Care (UFC) works with the Utah Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS), Utah Foster/Adoptive Family Association (UFAFA), and the adoption community to offer more than 40 Clusters throughout Utah.

Clusters are organized at the regional level. Don’t know which region you’re in? Find where you live on the map and click-thru to your region’s home page.

Utah is divided into five regions. These regions are Northern, Salt Lake, Western, Eastern, and Southwest. Resources for foster families are managed at the regional level.
