The Giving Tree program allows each child currently in foster care to request up to 3 gifts (each valued at $25 or less) this holiday season. Proctor agency placements do not qualify for this program.
Wishes will then be written on ornaments and placed on Giving Trees for sponsors to purchase.
This year, all entries will be submitted online.
You will need to know the name of your DCFS Resource Family Consultant (RFC) to complete the application. If you are licensed through the state of Utah and do not know who your Resource Family Consultant is, please contact Karen Nielsen at (801) 281-5189. If you are licensed through ARTEC, simply enter “ARTEC”.
If you receive a placement after October 28th (the website will no longer accept requests) please contact your DCFS caseworker to make arrangements for holiday gifts.
The US Air Force will be joining with The Utah Foster Care Foundation to deliver the gifts to each of your homes the morning of THURSDAY DEC 15. Please mark your calendars and make arrangements for someone to be home between 9:00 AM and noon to pick up your delivery. If no one is home, they will leave the bags on your porch.
Please be prepared with a note of thanks for the military members that arrive with your delivery. This is a perfect time to recognize their dedication to serving our country and us individually. These soldiers are using their personal vacation time for this service!
