About Us

Mission: We serve Utah’s children by finding, educating, and nurturing families to meet the needs of children in foster care.

Utah Foster Care Foundation is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Foundation’s vision is grounded in the belief that stable and caring families are the best possible place for children in out-of-home-care until they can be reunified with their families or placed in a permanent adoptive home.

Finding Families

Utah Foster Care Foundation believes the very best place for a young person to be is in a family.  The Foundation develops recruitment efforts to meet the unique needs of specific communities and the children in foster care in those communities.

Educating Families

Utah Foster Care Foundation provides the Pre-serivce training classes required to obtain a foster care license. The Foundation also provides In-serivce training in order for licensed families to maintain their licensure.

Nurturing Families

Utah Foster Care Foundation knows that families are the most important part of the foster care team. Without these families, the nationally recognized foster care system in Utah would not be possible. That’s why, when foster/adoptive families need additional support, Utah Foster Care Foundation is there.

Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to providing stability to foster/adoptive families through respite care, increasing the number of community support opportunities, acting as an information resource and finding new ways to let our families know that we appreciate all that they do.
